BOARD SPORT PIONEER
Pro surfer Anastasia Ashley has made a bold name for herself in the world of surfing. From national titles to entrepreneurial ventures, the Cali surf girl is one to watch. By six years old, Anastasia moved to the North Shore of Hawaii where she learned how to surf and quickly started competing by seven. There were only a few female surfers in her age bracket, so she mostly competed against the guys, which was never a deterrent for the always-competitive big-wave surfer. She has been surfing in competitions for over two decades, where she has grown an enthusiastic following and has become a fixture on the competitive circuit.
Outside of surfing, you can find her skateboarding, snowboarding, or golfing. Within her career, Anastasia has excelled and paved the way for many more female surfers. Her favorite career moments include winning Pipeline Women’s Pro, being the NSSA champ at just 16 years old, and most-importantly being able to use her achievements to become a role model for younger girls. She is currently developing her own charity that will focus on encouraging and supporting young girls that want to get into sports.
